🚀WHAT IS DECO?

Duncan Elementary Community Organization (DECO) is our schools version of a parent, teacher, student and staff organization (PTO).  

All Duncan parents are a part of D.E.C.O. and we invite everyone to participate in any way that they can. No membership or fees required!

 

Goals & Objectives

Duncan Elementary Community is an organization whose purpose is to strengthen, enhance and encourage the educational and social environment of Duncan Elementary.  Its goals are to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for parents, teachers and student to learn, socialize, communicate and grow.

 
🚀WHAT DOES DECO DO?

  • Assist faculty and staff of Duncan Elementary in the development of a curriculum and school environment which encourages students to achieve their goals.
  • Sponsor and coordinate social activities for the students and families of Duncan Elementary.
  • Promote student participation in worthwhile community activities.
  • Conduct fundraising activities to enhance academic programs, supplement improvements to the building and grounds, purchase additional educational materials and playground equipment.
  • Help create a community and sense of connectedness.

 

🚀2026-2027 DECO Board Members

Our DECO Board is made up of dedicated parent volunteers who help lead the way in different areas of our organization. All Board positions are up for election each year, giving parents the opportunity to get involved, share their talents, and help shape the year ahead!

🚀DECO MEETINGS

 

DECO meets monthly in the Media Center, and all Duncan parents are welcome and encouraged to join us! Meetings include updates from our principal and DECO Board, along with plenty of time to share ideas, ask questions, and stay connected with what’s happening in our Duncan community.

 

Whether you attend every month or just stop by when you can, we’d love to have you join us, share your thoughts, and be part of the conversation!

  • Wednesday, September 9th (7:00pm): DECO Informational Meeting 
  • Tuesday, September 29th (7:00pm): September Meeting (Budget)
  • Wednesday, October 7th (4:15pm): October Meeting (Budget Approval)
  • Wednesday, November 4th (7:00pm): November Meeting
  • Wednesday, December 2nd (4:15pm): December Meeting
